History

The Smodcastle Foundation was created to expand access to film education, storytelling, and creative experiences for youth and communities.

Inspired by the independent film spirit and the love of cinema, the foundation supports programs that nurture emerging talent, celebrate storytelling, and provide educational opportunities in film and media.

By bringing together filmmakers, educators, students, and community members, the foundation creates spaces where creativity can flourish and new voices can be discovered.
